Amy C. Edmondson is the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at Harvard Business School. She is a leading scholar in organizational behavior, best known for her pioneering research on psychological safety—the shared belief that teams are safe for interpersonal risk-taking—which has significantly influenced management, healthcare, and education.

Edmondson studies leadership, teaming, and organizational learning, with a focus on how organizations foster collaboration, innovation, and effective performance in uncertain environments. Her work has been widely published in top academic and practitioner journals, including Harvard Business Review and Academy of Management Journal.

She joined Harvard Business School in 1996 and was named a full professor in 2004. Edmondson has authored multiple influential books, including The Fearless Organization (2019), and has received global recognition, ranking #1 on the Thinkers50 list of management thinkers in 2023.

She holds AB, AM, and PhD degrees from Harvard University.
