Combine your own annual safety meeting with SOTE 2027
MAY 11-12 | SAVANNAH, GEORGIA, USA
Bring your meeting to the EDGE
Most organizations hold an annual in-house safety meeting somewhere anyway: a hotel, an airport conference room, the same agenda as last year. Hold it in Savannah instead, wrapped around the Forum, and your team’s internal conversation begins where the world’s best practice leaves off.
Built around the Benchmarking Forum
The anchor of the tag-on is Tuesday’s Benchmarking Forum: your team rotates in small groups through the rooms of eight best-in-class organizations, experiencing what actually works in safety, risk, culture and technology. In 2026 those rooms belonged to Caterpillar, Nike, Pernod Ricard, Procter & Gamble, Siemens, Southern Company, Tesla and Xylem. Debrief it together: your annual meeting writes itself.
We make the logistics disappear
Tell us the shape of your meeting and we will arrange the rest with The DeSoto and our Savannah partners:
01
Team & meeting rooms
Private team rooms and boardroom-style meeting rooms at the venue, reserved for your company in the days before and after the Forum, set up to your agenda.
02
Your meeting, your format
Half-day huddles, full-day strategy sessions or multi-day leadership offsites, with catering, AV and breakout support arranged through the SOTE team
03
Team excursions
We assist with excursions your team may wish to offer: the Historic District trolley tour, the Tybee Island beach escape, private dinners under the oaks, or something of your own design.
04
Group Rates for SOTE
Register your team for the SOTE Conference, and the group rates for attendance apply. Contact us to arrange your meeting alongside our conference.
A suggested shape:
Arrive Monday and open your internal meeting in a private room; spend Tuesday inside the Benchmarking Forum and the Welcome Reception; take the plenary and concurrent days as a team, dividing across the four streams; then close with your own half-day debrief on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, turning what the team saw into next year’s plan, before an excursion sends everyone home together.
Another option:
Arrive on Monday and set your team meeting up for Tuesday morning. Then after lunch, join the Safety on the Edge benchmarking session with top companies sharing their practices and initiatives.
