Travis Ellis is a highly accomplished Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) professional with a career spanning over three decades. His expertise lies in cultivating safe and compliant work environments, leading to significant reductions in incidents and costs. He holds multiple degrees in Safety Management and is a Certified Safety Professional and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.
Travis currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of EHSS at L’Oréal’s North Little Rock, Arkansas plant. He oversees the safety culture of the world’s largest makeup manufacturing campus, comprising over 600 employees. His leadership has been instrumental in achieving impressive safety records, with average incident rates far below industry standards. Notably, he spearheaded the advancement of Process Safety including Combustible Dust Hazard Analysis and Process Hazard Analysis initiatives, significantly enhancing safety protocols. His efforts have helped L’Oréal earn the top spot in a global corporate safety culture audit.
Before joining L’Oréal, Travis served in a similar capacity in the food industry, where he honed his skills in developing and implementing strategic plans to bolster safety performance across multiple food processing facilities. He also played a key role in automating production lines, resulting in increased efficiency and a safer working environment.
Throughout his career, Travis has consistently championed safety culture, leading Behavior Based Safety Programs and collaborating with executives, operations, and employees to embed safety practices. His commitment to excellence has garnered him and his team numerous awards, including multiple Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents accolades and OSHA VPP Star designations.
