In this session we’ll explore why it’s essential for today’s leaders to develop and leverage your cultural intelligence. You’ll discover how national culture and team diversity impact effective leadership, collaboration, communication, trust, decision making, and engagement in a global safety environment. We’ll share examples of cultural profiles, national culture data, as well as a framework for decoding cultural differences.

In the session, you’ll gain a variety of strategies to bridge cross-cultural gaps and harness the power of cultural diversity when leading in a global safety environment.  In addition, we’ll share ways to foster psychological safety and belonging in culturally diverse teams along with how to bring this knowledge back to your teams.

Kimberly Blanchard is passionate about helping organizations leverage diversity to their advantage. In the last twenty years Kimberly has helped thousands of leaders be more effective while crossing cultures. She has facilitated cultural diversity and global leadership development trainings in over 40 countries with dozens of Fortune 500 companies.

Her clients include Accenture, GSK, Novartis, Lego, LVMH, Staples, and Oracle. Kimberly speaks frequently on topics such as Leading Global Teams, Global Leadership, Generational Diversity, and Multinational Teambuilding. In addition, she has given hundreds of talks for expatriates to assist them in successful integration and effectiveness while on assignment.

Kimberly has a Master’s degree in Intercultural Relations with a specialization in Training and Consulting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. Kimberly is also a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and an ICF-Certified Professional Coach.

Originally from the USA, Kimberly has spent more than half of her adult life outside of the USA having lived in Germany, Italy and Amman, Jordan. Kimberly is raising two teenage “Third Culture Kids” and is based in Los Angeles, California.
