SOTE 2025 White Paper

In March 2025, over 200 global safety leaders, executives, researchers, and practitioners gathered in Berkeley for the inaugural Safety On The Edge Global Forum. Founded by Corrie Pitzer and Malcolm Staves as a not-for-profit platform, SOTE bridges academia and industry to advance safety thinking.

Over two days, delegates explored themes of psychological safety, SIF prevention, Human & Organizational Performance, resilience, mental health, and technology. Leading experts challenged assumptions and redefined leadership in high-risk settings. The Forum honored pioneering academics and exemplary companies, leaving delegates with a vision of safety built on trust, adaptability, courage, and collaboration.
