This presentation explores how L’Oréal cultivates a culture of care within its perimeter and beyond its gates, prioritizing the health and safety of its employees. We will examine L’Oréal’s commitment to creating a safe and supportive work environment, highlighting programs and initiatives that minimize workplace risks and promote employee well-being, inside and outside of work. This includes exploring L’Oréal’s approach to occupational health, safety training, and fostering a culture of prevention.

Kristin K. Herman, CSP, CPEA, CHMM, FIIRSM, is the AVP of EHS for L’Oreal North America. With 28 years of experience, Kristin is a servant leader who employs strong ethics and passion to protect human life and the environment. She is dedicated to empowering others to be agile and strive for interdependence.
Kristin is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, a Certified Safety Professional, a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management. She is an active advisory board member of ASSP’s common interest group, Women in Safety Excellence (WISE), and she has also served as the WISE Awards & Honors committee chairperson for the last eight years.
