Energy-Based Safety and Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) are two contemporary approaches to safety, which are at the core of Caterpillar’s refreshed safety strategy: Safety Driven, built around three outcomes:

In this session, Frank Pflueger will outline the rationale for the strategic shift and show how the strategy is translated into daily operations by combining Energy-Based Safety with the HOP mindset – strengthening controls that protect people from serious harm while building a culture rooted in trust, learning, and shared responsibility.
